LocationProperty amenities![]() Bearing the name of Las Vegas' first spectacular hotel, the 3,565-room Flamingo today provides 21st century facilities such as a business center with Internet access and a health spa offering massage, body treatments, and tanning. A video arcade, children's pool, and water slides furnish family fun. What to expect: Above the main casino, the upscale London Club offers a posh ambience of evening-dress dealers, plush seating, and high-limit tables. The pool complex offers two large, heated pools flanking an expansive sundeck dotted with palm trees. The shopping/dining promenade runs in a 1.2-mile circle under a softly lighted "sky" ceiling. The opulent, 32,000-square-foot Elemis Spa offers two-room suites for couples, beauty treatments, and a fitness center. Amenity highlights: A 9.5-acre Mediterranean garden featuring fruit trees and slender cypresses contains six heated pools, three with oversize fountains and the two largest—180 feet and 150 feet long—open year-round. The garden also offers four jet spas roomy enough for 12-18 people, expansive sundecks, and luxurious for-rent cabanas furnished with television, telephone, refrigerator, sink, dining set, padded lounges, and both ceiling fan and misting system for cooling. Insider tip: Located between the main casino and the mezzanine, Sinbad's Lounge is a terrific place not only for enjoying live evening entertainment but for viewing the hotel's entire neon-lit spectacle.
Dining![]() The Flamingo Room - The hotel's signature restaurant features steak, ribs, roast chicken, and bargain-priced crab, lobster, and prime rib. Conrad's Steak House - In an ambience of warm wood and creamy linen, this restaurant serves beef and seafood from an exhibition kitchen. Paradise Garden Buffet - Including a "seafood spectacular" station, this place offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets. Flamingo Beach Club - Open seasonally, this poolside place provides inside and terrace seating, features live evening entertainment, and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner during warm months. All-American BBQ - On the sidewalk outside the casino, aromatic smoke heralds the presence of grilled foot-long hot dogs, burgers, steak sandwiches, and other barbecued items. Picnic tables, piped music, and a Happy Hour contribute to the county fair atmosphere. Hamada of Japan - This outpost of a locally famous chain serves Japanese favorites and includes a sushi bar. Pink Ginger - This restaurant features pan-Asian dinners. Ventuno - An Italian menu is the attraction here. Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville - (Opening December 2003) This relaxing tropically decorated restaurant serves everything from fish to cheeseburgers. Features Key West cooking and Caribbean cuisine. Also features live music on two stages nightly, and a margarita mix "spouting" volcano that erupts regularly. EntertainmentHeadliners such as Gladys Knight appear regularly in the 750-seat Flamingo Showroom, where The Amazing Johnathan also presents his late night magic/comedy show. The Second City improv comedy troupe continues a long run at the Flamingo in its own theater. Best of Bottoms Up is The Strip's only afternoon topless revue. Flamingo Late Night Lounge supplies music and a romantic ambience for dancing. Consisting of a expansive, terraced garden that includes ponds, streams, and waterfalls, a Wildlife Habitat adjacent to the pool complex is home to exotic ducks, cranes, Chilean flamingos, and penguins. Comprising 77,000 square feet, the Casino provides a poker room, Caribbean poker, three-card poker, video poker, backjack, craps, roulette, pai gow, and a sports book and race book. ParkPlace Connection offers free membership cards that consolidate in single accounts slot and gaming-table play at five casinos: Bally's Las Vegas, Hilton Las Vegas, Paris Las Vegas, Caesars Palace, and Flamingo Las Vegas. Members earn cash and/or comp rewards redeemable for food, drink, and hotel services and facilities. Members also receive 10-percent discounts at gift shops owned by the hotels and may charge expenditures at all five hotels to their rooms. Recreation
RoomsThe Flamingo offers more than 3,500 rooms and suites. Standard (deluxe) rooms measure nearly 350 square feet, and come equipped with a desk, couch, and an oversized chair. Decor is understated and contemporary. Amenities include in-room safes, irons and ironing boards, hair dryers, voice mail, dial-up Internet access, and pay movies.
