LocationProperty amenitiesWhat to expect: Billing itself as "The City of Entertainment," MGM Grand indeed resembles a teeming city where thousands of guests, staff, and visitors flowing off The Strip mingle—and the entertainment never stops. Clad in emerald-green glass and guarded by a 45-foot-tall lion (the largest bronze statue in the United States), the hotel attracts families and couples from around the world. Amenity highlights: A 9.5-acre Mediterranean garden featuring fruit trees and slender cypresses contains six heated pools, three with oversize fountains and the two largest—180 feet and 150 feet long—open year-round. The garden also offers four jet spas roomy enough for 12-18 people, expansive sundecks, and luxurious for-re Insider tip: Exclusive in Las Vegas, the 2.5-hour Dreaming Ritual treatment and massage at the Grand Spa features oils and wraps inspired by Australian Aboriginal culture.
DiningNOBHILL - In a warm and elegant setting, award-winning chef Michael Mina presents San Francisco-style food such as truffled macaroni and cheese, lobster pot pie, and crispy black bass. Decor combines cool glass and warm wood, with semi-enclosed glass booths in front and a linen-service dining room in the rear. Craftsteak - This sleek restaurant updates both classic steak house decor and food, offering contemporary selections such as roasted foie gras, grilled quail, and braised duck confit in addition to steaks and grown-to-order vegetables. Emeril's New Orleans Fish House - Celebrity chef and television star Emeril Lagasse serves Cajun- and Creole-accented seafood such as redfish glazed with Creole mustard and bacon-wrapped jumbo Gulf shrimp. Mark Miller's Grill Room - Celebrated Southwest chef Mark Miller offers dishes such as lobster empanadas and buffalo ribeye steak. Coyote Cafe - Adjacent to his refined Grill Room, Mark Miller recreates his famed Santa Fe' cafe', which features casual fare such as duck quesadillas and fresh-juice margaritas. Wolfgang Puck Cafe - This casual spot exemplifies celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck's approach to creating designer pizzas, salads, burgers, pastas, and other big-portion meals. Pearl - This austerely gorgeous restaurant features live-tank seafood and contemporary Chinese fare such as star-anise lamb chops. Grand Wok & Sushi Bar - Fronted by a narrow pond and featuring a serene blend of blond wood, bamboo, stone, water, and stainless-steel accents, this restaurant serves Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese cuisines. A sushi bar is open in the evenings. Seabluer - Featuring seafood dishes and fresh seasonal produce. A cylindrical fish tank and mirrored hallway set the stage. The theme is re-emphasized throughout the dining room with walls of stone and water. MGM Grand Buffet - This expansive restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets. Zuri - This 24-hour lounge off the lobby features champagne by the glass, beer from around the globe, cigars, a hangover menu, and live entertainment. Entertainment![]() Headliners such as Jimmy Buffet, Barbra Streisand, and Pearl Jam fill 17,157 seats in the Grand Garden Arena, which also serves as a venue for boxing and tennis matches, and for televised music-award shows. Other headliners such as Ann-Margaret and Tom Jones perform in the more intimate, 740-seat Hollywood Theatre. Direct from Paris's renowned Crazy Horse and occupying a 340-seat theater that recreates the original, the La Femme French dance troupe presents nude-female beauty embellished by sensuous, textured lighting. Housing up to six big cats, the Lion Habitat provides free shows daily, with an enormous glass cage separating guests from lions in a natural-appearing habitat of rocks, trees, and waterfalls. A see-through tunnel winds through the habitat, allowing visitors to be surrounded by lions. Celebrities fly in just for a night at Tabu, an ultra-cool lounge. Guests in their sexiest clothes sip champagne and dance amid and atop contemporary furnishings that include low tables upon which video images are projected and can be altered by hand movements. A more raucous crowd turns out at Studio 54, a three-story recreation of the famed New York City industrial-setting dance club. Dancers writhe on platforms at the entrance, symbolizing the action inside. Located on Studio Walk, a 115,500-square-foot shopping promenade resembling a Hollywood sound stage, CBS Television City screens television-show pilots to gauge audience reaction, displays a futuristic digital home theater, and sells logo merchandise from popular shows and cable channels. Comprising 171,000 square feet, the casino supplies slots, video poker, backjack, craps, roulette, baccarat, pai gow, keno, a 144-seat sports book, and a race book. Recreation
RoomsThis hotel sits at the Strip's south end and offers 5,034 rooms in four 30-story, emerald green towers. Rooms have ceramic tile or marble bathrooms with shower/tub combinations, dial-up Internet access, air conditioning, and trouser press.
