The 2,916-room Paris Las Vegas connects to a sister hotel, the art-deco Bally's, via an interior passage so short the two are virtually a single resort—Paris contemporary and Bally's traditional, with rhinestone-bejeweled showgirls and classic lounge acts. Paris' attractions include an opulent, 25,000-square-foot health-and-beauty spa and an indoor shopping/dining mall styled like a 1920s' Parisian street scene, with shops and restaurants located in charming storefronts.

A two-third's-scale Arc de Triomphe stands at the hotel's entrance. Other photography opportunities inside and outside the resort include partial replications of the Louvre, the Paris Opera House, the ornate bridge Le Pont Alexander III, Victor Hugo's neighborhood Places des Vosges, the Louvre Museum, and Versailles Palace's Hall of Mirrors.

What to expect: In addition to the Eiffel Tower and a two-thirds-scale Arc de Triomphe, the resort meticulously adheres to a 1920s Paris theme right down to restroom pedestal sinks. The 34-story hotel replicates Paris City Hall, the elegant Hotel de Ville with its distinctive blue top. The shopping/dining mall and casino simulate the outdoors with storefronts, street lamps, paving-stone paths, and sky-like ceilings.

Amenity highlights: A two-acre pool complex on the casino rooftop includes a massive, heated pool open year-round and two oval, 12-person spas secluded in a formal French garden. For-rent cabanas come with telephone, television, and ceiling fan. The Eiffel Tower replica soars above the complex, which contains a platform for photographing the Tower against the sky.

Insider tip: Without reservations or having to buy dinner, guests enjoy the Eiffel Tower Restaurant's Strip views by visiting the restaurant's lounge, which features specialty martinis and enforces a no-jeans-or-shorts rule.

Eiffel Tower Restaurant - Located 11 stories up the Tower, this elegant restaurant serves classic French fare such as tournedos Rossini with foie gras and salmon in pinot noir sauce. Broad views of The Strip's lights and Bellagio's fountain shows spread out below.

Mon Ami Gabi - Offering an inside dining room, a sunny front room, and an open-air terrace overlooking The Strip's colorful scene, this large, casual bistro features an extensive menu of French favorites. Included are various steaks with French fries, burgers, salads, raw seafood, and nightly specials such as beef short ribs.

Ah Sin - This large pan-Asian restaurant offers a large menu including sushi and dim sum, features show kitchens, and provides inside seating and terrace tables overlooking The Strip's pedestrian parade.

Ortanique - An outshoot of chef Cindy Hutson's acclaimed Coral Gables, Fla., restaurant, Ortanique serves "cuisine of the sun" such as Caribbean bouillabaisse and jerked double pork chop with guava-rum sauce served in a dramatic ambience of light, shadow, and draped gold fabric.

Les Artistes Steakhouse - A symphony of curves, this stylish steakhouse consists of a ground-floor dining room and a mezzanine up a pair of sweeping staircases—both beneath a brightly colored floral ceiling.

Le Village Buffet - This version of the classic Las Vegas buffet house features items from the five French provinces for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

JJ's Boulangerie - French pastries, artisanal-bread sandwiches, and salads are the focus in this casual spot.

Cafè du Parque - This poolside spot features healthful foods and juices.

Entertainment

Rising some 540 feet above the casino, the half-scale replica, 50-story Eiffel Tower—Las Vegas' second-tallest structure—provides panoramic views from an observation deck accessible by glass elevator.

Le The'a^tre des Arts, an opulent, 1,200-seat theater presents headliners such as Natalie Cole, The Moody Blues, and Tony Bennett. Impressionist Andre'-Philippe Gagnon also performs here on select mid-week dates.

The ornate Napoleon’s lounge offers jazz and pop bands nightly, along with carving-station sandwiches, light appetizers, chocolates, and 26 Champagnes by the glass. Le Cabaret Show Lounge features live French- and English-style entertainment.

With balconies overlooking The Strip and featuring French pastry confections, the "ultra-lounge" Risque' creates a stylishly hip ambience for dressed-up nightcrawlers Wednesday through Sunday.

Comprising 85,000 square feet and penetrated by three of the Eiffel Tower's legs, the Casino provides slots, video poker, backjack, craps, roulette, pai gow, and a sports and race book. Gaming areas are set under re-creations of Paris' ornate wrought-iron train platforms.
