My wife, myself, and my two daughters (17,13) stayed at TI during spring break of 2003. When I return to Vegas (spring break 2004) I will not stay here again unless I bring my kids. This is a very good family resort. The arcade is especially nice. If I return with my wife only, I probably would stay at the Monte Carlo or Venetian. This is only do to the fact that there are a lot of kids at TI, which is fine if you're bringing the family. Our rooms were connecting queens on the sixth floor overlooking the strip and behind the Pirate Show. The location was fine, however I would have preferred to stay on a higher floor. This was not the fault of TI. Because I wanted connecting rooms, my choices were limited. The staff was always courteous and helpful. Check in was a breeze as well as check out. The in-room safe was very handy. Bathrooms were marble and clean. It would have been nice to have a tub separate from the shower though. The room was cleaned well at acceptable times during our five day stay. We had a very good view of the Pirate Show from our room. If you are into well appointed casinos of a high class, I would recommend going to the Venetian across the street or the Mirage next door. The casino at TI reminded me of a cruise ship casino. Carpeting was not impressive, smoke was a problem, although drink service at the tables was fine. Also, if you do not like walking through the casino to get to your room all of the time, I would recommend the Monte Carlo. The restaurants were fine but not outstanding. If you are going without kids, I would give this resort three stars. If you are taking young people, I would say four stars. All in all this was a pleasant, but not excellent experience. Stayed at the TI Oct 27-31/03 and had an excellent time. Four of us had 2 connecting deluxe rooms with a great view right down the strip. The rooms were large and nicely decorated. The in room safes were a nice touch, and I liked the hotel security at the elevators at night. We enjoyed the new pirate show with the VIP viewing area for hotel guests. We stayed at the Monte Carlo in Feb of this year and although it was nice this hotel is a better choice.
My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We got a petite king suite. The only problem was the fact that the room didn't have a king bed, but double beds. Management contacted us about moving the next day, but we were already settled in. This hotel has GREAT location. Great views of the Mirage and Venetian. The room was awesome. Two words, DOUBLE DOORS!!! I got just a taste of what the rich are accustomed to. We both got our own marble bathrooms with all the amenities. The fabrics in the room were great. The towels were huge!!! AND, room service would come during the middle of the day and ask if we needed more!! We couldn't use half of what they had already given us. Check-in and out was quick and courteous. For the money, I don't think you could find a better room in Las Vegas. I never did get to see the pirate battle. I hear the new sirens may not be as exciting. I WILL be back to treasure island!!!
My husband and I stayed at TI for seven nights in mid-September, 2003. We selected a standard room for this, our first visit to TI. Our room was located on the 35th floor where we had a magnificent view of the strip. The room was clean and attractive.Soon after our arrival we registered at the Player's Club. Our average spending per day on table games and slots was about $500. We were very disappointed that we received no comps whatsoever. At checkout, we were told that TI would contact us at our home phone or email address once our play had been reviewed. We were never contacted. All the hotel staff (housekeeping, valet, restaurant staff, etc) were very friendly and helpful. During our stay, we dined at the Terrace Cafe, Canter's Deli, and Treasure Island Buffet. We ate breakfast several times at the Terrace Cafe. It was very good. Canter's Deli was very disappointing. Although the sandwiches were huge and filled with what seemed to be a pound of meat, they were terribly dry and bland. We were also disappointed with the quality and selection of food at the Buffet. We dined there around 7:00 p.m. one evening.Overall, we really liked TI and would stay there again, but would probably do our gaming elsewhere because 1) we received NO comps...not even a meal! 2) no one from TI contacted us as promised. |
