It was opened as the Hotel Nevada, then it was sold to a group of San Francisco investors in 1955. Golden Gate is the smallest hotel on Fremont Street. The Golden Gate's casino - the oldest and most historic casino in Vegas - offers traditional table games, including blackjack, craps, and roulette. At the tables $3 and $5 are dominating minimums. There are also about 400 slots and video machines in the casino. Visitors enjoy timeless melodies, performed by the piano player.
