Las Vegas After Dark Tour

Known as a 24-hour city, Las Vegas really comes to life after dark. Wander through a casino at any hour, even 4am, and you'll see riotous dice games and weary gamblers still trying to even up their percentages on the blackjack tables. Some of the Strip's greatest attractions are offered during the twilight hours and the city is famed for its huge variety of nightlife and entertainment. Allow one evening for the tour

1 Monte Carlo Las Vegas

Start your evening it the French Riviera and the Monte Carlo resort. Inspired by the Place du Casino in Monte Carlo, the whole resort is one tenth of the size of Monaco. The Monte Carlo resort is home to acclaimed gourmet restaurants such as Andre's, with its mouthwatering French cuisine and décor, along with Blackstone's for the very best in all-American beef. Watch chefs prepare your chosen dishes at The Buffet at Monte Carlo, acclaimed as one of the best on the Strip, or sample home beers at the Monte Carlo Pub & Brewery, which also offers a great menu.

2 The Fountains at Bellagio

3 The Eiffel Tower Experience

Even if you've seen it by day, by night Eiffel Tower offers a whole new view of Las Vegas. Open daily 10am-1am

Mirage Volcano

4 The Mirage Volcano

Every evening the peaceful waterfalls outside this Polynesian-themed resort transform into a fiery volcanic eruption with fiery red lights, gas jets and explosions that reach 100ft (30m). This is a very popular attraction, so find your place early, preferably at the end of the previous eruption. Free shows begin every 15 min, 7pm-midnight

5 The Sirens of TI

Described as a raunchier Broadway-style performance, this is a battle of the sexes set to music. It is still suitable for family viewing from the Strip, with a VIP viewing area for hotel guests. Show times: 7pm, 9pm & 11pm daily.

6 Ghost Bar at Palms

Grab a taxi and head to the Palms resort on West Flamingo Road where the Ghost Bar on the 55th floor offers 12ft (3.6m) floor-to-ceiling windows and the sky deck features a 360° view of the Strip. This is a popular bar, so get there early if you do not want to stay in line. Open daily 8pm-4am
